Maple Street Park in Essex Junction – Another beautiful location in Burlington. This park has many sports fields, swimming pools, and nature trails.

Waterfront Park – If you’re looking for a scenic way to spend your day in Burlington, VT, then you need to take a trip to Waterfront Park. You might even get the chance to experience a music or food festival. Plus anywhere there is water, it is a good thing!

Check out the University of Vermont – Walking around such a beautiful campus is a must do! They have 2 different self-guided tour with maps on their website. One of the campus and one fo the art on the campus.

Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory – Just outside of town is the Ben and Jerry factory. You can take in the playground, photo ops, and flavor graveyard for free.

Burlington Bike Path – Whether you want to bike it, jog it, or simply stroll along it, the Burlington Bike Path is a great place to visit in Burlington, VT. You’ll find 8 miles of paved paths gives you plenty of space to explore the city, no matter what pace you set. Riding bikes with friends or family are one of the best free things you can do.

Stowe Recreation Path – When you visit the Stowe Recreation Path, you’ll get to experience 5.3 miles of paved paths. During warmer weather, you can walk, run, or bike along this path. During the winter, you can snowshoe or cross country ski instead. We love bringing the family here and just walking for hours! The kids love exploring and sightseeing.

Danforth Workshop & Flagship Store – You are able to watch their products being made and learn a bit of history and their store.

Magic Hat Brewing Company – This is one of the most talked about factory tours in the area. You do have to be 21 or over but they are well known for their Victorian-Gothic circus-themed decor. Complete your tour with free tastings!

See a Free Show at the Very Merry Theatre – They offer free shows from time to time.

Lake Champlain Chocolate Factory Tour – Watch their chocolate being made and even get a free sample all for free.

Bristol Falls Swimming Hole – A great way to cool off in the summer with swimming and waterfalls. There are also some great picnic areas.

Harry Barber’s Miniature Castles – Just north of Burlington are these amazing works of art.
