    Beautiful Gardens
Beautiful gardens with so many different areas to explore. Especially love the butterfly garden. The plants are well-labeled. Most of the garden areas are handicapped accessible with paved pathways. Food trucks offer drinks and snacks, and bathrooms are available in the main building. The only disappointment was their lovely gift shop was closed as the building is undergoing renovations.

    Stunning
What an absolute joy it was to visit such a stunning garden so close to a city. There was some work going on which I assume, when it is complete, will give better facilities for cafe and gift shop. However, the absence of these did not deter from the sheer beauty and tranquility of the gardens. I will definitely go again and take visitors.

A Hidden Treasure In The Orlando Area
A treasure in the heart of a city. Thanks to the vision of its Leu family founders, this first-class botanical garden estate adds to the experience of visiting the Orlando area. Do NOT miss it. Just an hour or two will add so much to your visit. I have to tell you this well-travelled couple of 5 continents was really impressed, and we recommend it to you without hesitation. We've been to many gardens and heartily suggest you include this in your visit.

    Beautiful and peaceful gardens
Went there with my husband and mother a couple of weeks before Christmas. It was beautiful and peaceful! Most of the flowers were in bloom and they had an extensive collection of poinsettias around the gardens, very festive!! We took the house museum tour included with our entry tickets. Our guide, Eileen, was excellent and knew her stuff!! 😁 The house is packed with history and interesting stories! They had a “garden gnome” scavenger hunt which was a lot of fun!!

    Stunning Gardens
We are a retired Midwestern couple. We travel all over the world. We visit local botanical gardens wherever we go. We visited Leu gardens in February for about three hours; it did not disappoint! We absolutely loved it. The variety of tropical species was amazing and stunning. Plants, trees, etc were well labeled. Easy walking paths throughout (as well as restrooms). Convenient parking. Loved the ancient tropical forest/plants section. Camellia section was in bloom; gorgeous. Highly recommend Leu Gardens.

    Beautiful Botanical Gardens
Great walking trails through gardens and forest. Seems like a lot of walking at first but once you've covered it, you'd be surprised how quick it is to walk through a second time. The tours though the mansion is only offered in the mornings and includes a flight of stairs. Interesting plants and the foliage plants are extremely colorful. At the mansion there is a butterfly garden with lots of butterflies, vegetable garden and an herb garden. They had a lot of glass butterfly art work when I was there. A lot of people there for relaxing, talking and snacking, members I assume. There's also a cemetery there. A lovely stroll.

Beautiful gardens north of the airport in Orlando
Harry & Mary Jane Leu created a pretty unique legacy in Orlando namely the Camellia collection. This collection ranks among the largest in the United States and is one of the largest documented collections in the southeast. The Leus purchased their house (now the museum) and 40 acres 1936 and deeded the entire estate to the City of Orlando in 1962. Mary Jane’s rose garden is beautiful with a center spectacle of a fountain. The massive trees tower over the walkways and are covered in moss. It’s a southern charm. Magical place!

    Beautiful and Peaceful Gardens
Harry P. Leu Gardens are a beautiful and peaceful place close to Orlando and Winter Park. When we visited, we were fortunate to see Alex Heveri's "Glass in Flight." The glass and steel sculptures exhibited throughout the gardens were lovely and enhanced the garden spaces. As we strolled through the almost 50 acres of gardens, we enjoyed seeing the various plants and flowers in bloom. Unfortunately, we did not go on a tour of the Leu House.

    Lovely place - will return
What a lovely, peaceful place to take a walk and enjoy the foliage & lake front. It's not too large, so you can easily see a lot in 2 - 3 hours. There are benches throughout the property & lots of signs telling you what the plants are, some of which I'd never seen or heard of. You can easily return multiple times a year as the gardens continue to change. I'll certainly be back!

Web-site said free the first Monday of the month, apparently that is not true. $10 per person. Still it was worth it.

Saw trees that we don’t have up north. Different climate zones, arid, rain forest, bamboo, roses, great location. Despite the acreage, we were able to cover all paths in 3 hours at a leisurely pace. The house is closed due to storm damage, some roses out, but it is still winter. It is the kind of place you come often to see different plants in bloom.

What a beautiful place to spend hours within the lovely landscapes of a 50 acre garden. I started with a tour of the Leu house. The docent named Anita gave a splendid tour of the historic home. Then, I enjoyed the magnificent gardens. The plants are all labeled, and there are many benches to rest on. This is great place, and Orlando needs to promote it more. Visitor experience could only be enhanced with a small cafe with a limited menu. Adult admission is $10 until 31 December 2021 when it increases to $12. Free parking.

We had been here 9 years ago in winter and decided to try it on this visit. Satnav didn’t take us the main entrance which is what happened last time! It’s $15 to get in and be warned there are no picnic facilities or cafe, only vending machines. There is a shop which was shut at 1pm when we left.

Beautiful tropical gardens some well established trees and massive bamboo plants. The rose garden was a little lack lustre and usually rose gardens are fragrant this one wasn’t.

There is a historical house and they do tours, be warned you need to be prompt! Well that’s what we were told by the disgruntled guide when 6 people arrived at 12.33 for the 12.30 tour. It took some persuading for Nicole to let us join the tour and all 6 agreed that they would rather miss the 6 minutes at the start of the tour than miss the tour altogether. So the 6 of us joined the already started tour of 2 people. It was really interesting particularly seeing how the house had grown over the years. The rooms were beautifully renovated and it was great to see the lovely china and glassware. Loved the old bathrooms and kitchen with old utensils. Glad we did the tour.

If I could rate zero stars I would. We have been in contact with this location regarding holding our wedding ceremony here for about a month. We were told they do not book until a year in advance. (For example, we were wanting to book for March 2022, but were told no one was allowed to book for anything that month until March 1st, 2021) We even reached out again the week prior to ensure we had all required information to book. On March 1st, we called the moment the clock said 8 am, per their email. It turns out they had a wedding reschedule from last year, and it was scheduled for our date. Now, I am not upset they allowed a wedding from last year to reschedule - that's absolutely the right thing to do. However, they had several opportunities to tell us that due to extenuating circumstances there was one (later we found out several) dates unavailable. We now lost a month of looking into other venues because we were preparing for the gardens. Red flags were raised when we went to go see the venue and despite paying to get in, there was not a soul to walk with us to the different sites and discuss how they handle anything logistically. After speaking with our other selected vendors, we're now learning this is common practice and several vendors prefer not to work with them due to their unorganized manner and awful attitudes.

Brides and grooms to be, be cautious. The grounds are beautiful, but this venue lacks even the most basic of communication skills. A day as expensive and important as your wedding deserves much better.

The entrance is located at the intersection of Corrine Dr and N Forest Ave. The park takes up 50 acres on the south side of Lake Rowena. There are two parking lots. One is near to the main building and one is just to the south. Together they can hold about 150 vehicles. The entry is through the main building and costs about $15/person. The gardens are used for events. The day that we visited, there was a wedding event set up outside the house on the south of the grounds and the reception was set for the main building. It seemed a perfect place for it. The gardens are self-guided and have lots of paths to follow. Recently, they have made a “dragon” challenge treasure hunt that is a lot of fun. People have to find clues and decrypt the message that leads you to the treasure. The gardens have large dragons and night-time lighting for these very large creatures. The gardens are beautiful and have many paths and descriptions of the many plants around the grounds. Overall, this is a wonderful set of gardens that is very pleasant to walk through.

We visited the Leu Gardens on a weekend in February - the gardens were busy with regular visitors and with a wedding. But the gardens are so large that it never felt crowded. We especially enjoyed the many displays of bromeliads, palms, ferns and bamboo - things we do not see up north where we live. Entrance was free based on a reciprocal membership with another garden. The camelias were beautiful, the roses were not in season. We left for lunch and then returned for more garden viewing. The only thing missing at Leu Gardens is a cafe for drinks and/or food.

We were passing through Orlando and decided to stop at the gardens for a quick visit. What a wonderful surprise it was! It is filled with all sorts of tropical flora including palms, trees, flowering shrubs and plants with most labeled so you know what's what. A visit requires a good couple of hours to take it all in. We loved strolling the shady paths along the lake, which has a nice inlet with a good variety of wading birds busy nabbing a snack. At $10 a person, this is a bargain and well worth a stop. Only wish they had a little cafe.

We stopped here from looking at reviews on Trip Advisor and it was well worth the visit. The garden had beautiful tropical trees and a magnficient bamboo area. It is not super large, so you only need a couple of hours or less to see it. The cost is minimal to enter 10.00 per person and free parking. Highly recommend it!!! It helped that it was absolutely perfect day when we went.

If you are looking for something different vs theme park then you might want to think about visiting the Harry P. Leu Gardens. Located in quiet section of northern Orlando. Pleasant even on hot days because much of the walking is done under a canopy of tall trees. We particularly enjoyed the butterfly and arid gardens. There are an abundance of birds and plenty of turtles to see at the lake Rowena overlook. A walk down the tropical stream garden path is very calming with the sound of running water and even a small waterfall. You can spend 1 hour or 5 hours there is plenty to see and experience. The price of admission won’t break the bank $10 adult and 5$ for children.

This is a place you need to visit several times because-
1- It's really large and;
2- It changes with the seasons.
In addition to trees, plants, flowers, cacti, and vegitbles too, there are games, art, and buildings to explore as well. It great for couples and families as well. They have an awesome section for events such as weddings. We also saw an owl on our visit.
